About MariaChingona
While my biggest passion in life is performing, I've always felt comfortable in a classroom setting helping students catch those lightbulb moments. Besides Music I also have experience teaching academic subjects, particularly Math.
My goal when coaching someone is to provide a safe place to make mistakes without judgement and lead the student to pull their best from within, not just tell them what to do.

Mariachi is very specific and not easy but is so rewarding once you grasp it and can be very lucrative if you continue the path. Learn the basic rhythms of Boleros, Huapangos, Rancheras and Sones as well as terminology and concepts that are unique to Mariachi but help open your ears and develop musical instinct. We will also use sheet music to learn what the rhythms look like on paper and how to follow along to a song.
