About Ellen
I am a professional musician based in North Yorkshire. I play percussion, piano and drum kit. I teach privately and have experience in schools for a county music service. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from a University and a Masters of Music from a Conservatoire so am qualified in both the performance and academic sides of music.

I try to make my lessons as interesting and relevant for students as possible based on your goals. Obviously mastering the basics in any subject is essential and will need hard work from the student but there are generally ways to make them fun - for example, making a game out of them or learning them in the context of a song or style you want to be able to play, so I make every effort to do this as much as possible in my lessons.
