About Nelly
I’m a psychiatry resident (DO) who enjoys helping students work through challenging material in a way that feels clear, structured, and manageable.
I understand how demanding pre-med and medical training can be, and I focus on making complex topics easier to understand by breaking them into simple, high-yield concepts.
I work with a variety of students, including pre-med, medical, nursing, PA, and psychology students. I enjoy adapting to different learning styles and meeting students wherever they are in their academic journey.
My goal is to help students feel more confident, less overwhelmed, and more in control of the material they’re learning.

I aim to make difficult material feel clear, approachable, and manageable—no matter where you're starting from.
I’m a psychiatry resident (DO) who recently went through the MCAT and medical board exams, so I understand how overwhelming these exams and courses can feel. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, high-yield concepts and helping you build real understanding—not just memorization.
While I work with pre-med and medical students, I also enjoy teaching nursing students, PA students, and anyone taking biology, physiology, pharmacology, or psychology courses. You do not need to be pre-med to work with me—I’m happy to meet you wherever you are.
In sessions, I focus on:
- Clear explanations of difficult concepts
- High-yield material and exam relevance
- Step-by-step walkthroughs of practice questions
- Test-taking strategies and confidence building
My goal is to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where questions are encouraged and confusion is expected—that’s how learning happens. I want you to leave sessions feeling more confident, more organized, and more in control of the material.
