About Laurence
Hello everyone! My name is Laurence, and I am now a postgraduate student at the University of Bristol studying Psychology of Education. Back in Taiwan, I was an English teacher with 3 year teaching experiences, and teaching has always been my passion. Teaching, to me, is not a unilateral process but a reciprocal communication. Therefore, in my class, interactions are necessarily required since I've always clinging to the idea that a student-centred interactive learning environment can be conducive to galvanising students' learning motivation as well as enthusiasm in language learning. Most importantly, it is also one of the optimal approaches to cultivate the critical and independent thinking skills, which is the nub of my pedagogical practices.

I was an English teacher in Taiwan for 3 years and most of my students were primary school and high school students. When it comes to teaching, movies and books have always been two of my vehicles for the fulfilment of my pedagogical purposes. I personally think it is one of the optimal approaches to cultivate students' critical and independent thinking skills, which is the main purpose of my teaching. Basically, there are no age limits for my lessons so everyone is welcome to my class !!!
