About Timothy
I am a Chartered Accountant with over ten years of experience and a strong academic background. At school I studied the Cambridge curriculum, obtaining A grades at AS Level (Year 12) in several subjects, including maths and accounting, and achieved university entrance at age 15. Since my studies, I have worked as an auditor and regularly help with the kids programme at my local church. I have a passion for helping others learn and have experience in tutoring a wide range of students. Outside of work I enjoy being active in particular I love touch rugby and skiing. Escape rooms and board games also have a special place in my heart.

I tailor my teaching method to the needs of the individual. Different students learn differently whether that be by audio, visual or kinesthetic methods. Building a strong foundation with the basics is key to understanding more complex topics, so I generally start with identifying any gaps that need addressing and then going from there. Given the nature of maths it can sometimes be best to go back to basics and gaining a strong understanding of things like times tables and negative numbers before trying to learn more complex areas. Once my students have a strong understanding of the basics I work with them through more complex topics. I work best with students who are self-motivated and want to learn as I believe that I can help students who wish to learn however I am unable to force anyone who doesn't want to learn to learn.

I have known Timothy for a long time as a close friend and he has always been ready to help anybody, whenever. He is extremely hard working and persevering.
