About Martha
I speak standard Dutch and was born in Groningen, an university town in the North of The Netherlands and that is where I studied both sociology (MA) and Roman Languages (BA). I moved abroad to Ireland to obtain a Phd in Sociology from Trinity College at the Institute for International Integration Studies (IIIS).
I taught Dutch in Ireland at the well-known Sandford Language Institute to support myself during my PhD. After obtaining my Phd. I moved to London and right now I live in New York.
I have strong Dutch roots, but an international outlook and am a qualified professional Dutch teacher. Am excited to meet you!

My classes are perfectfor studentsfrom all ages who want to learn Dutch for business, for love or for travel. I include learning about Dutch culture in my lessons, so that you learn Dutch as if you were living in The Netherlands.
