About Gem
My name is Gemma and I have taught English in secondary schools for the past 5 years. I have a firm belief in the power of education and particularly language and its ability to change an individual's life. My approach is an individualised tutoring session focused on the needs of each student. I enjoy helping to improve self-confidence in a student's abilities, incorporating a range of skills from gamification, questioning and spoken language practice. I have experience in the English and Thai classroom and I hope to take skills from both.

Having taught with Gemma for a number of years, I can safely say she is an excellent teacher of both state and independent students who is able to both inspire, motivate and support children in equal measure to attain their personal goals. She is easily able to get the measure of what a student needs and differentiate her teaching to their level of challenge in innovative and effective ways. I have seen students go above and beyond for her, and her subject knowledge is second to none. Gemma has experience teaching a range of English Language and Literature GCSE exam boards for students of all grades. I would highly recommend Gemma as an English tutor.
