About Katrina
I am a fully qualified English teacher with a TEFL certification. I have been giving lessons for a year to both adults and children, teaching phonetics all the way to formal business English. I have experience with 1-1 lessons and both group lessons for children. Whilst preparing students for exams I ensure to improve their confidence by giving regular feedback and mock exams to practice. For my business English class I ran my class achieved a 100% pass rate with 7/10 students receiving an A.

I give lessons to people with both high and low levels of English proficiency. I have completed a full TEFL qualification, allowing myself to teach both big groups and 1-1 lessons. I place a big emphasis on speaking practise to ensure all grammatical errors are corrected and to increase fluency when conversing. Throughout my classes I use fun interactive games and mock exams to boost vocabulary levels, I also use written tasks to improve grammatical skills. To ensure the success of my students I hold fortnightly progress checks to highlight strengths and weaknesses, also to develop a lesson plan based on my students weaknesses.
