About Lucy
My name is Lucy and I was born in China. I’m a native mandarin speaker and am currently living in Ireland. Since I graduated from University of Limerick with a Master’s degree, I have been working and living in Ireland for more than 10 years. I like travelling, singing, cooking and watching Chinese talk shows. I am experienced in teaching for all levels and am still teaching in the other tutoring platforms. I have two daughters, one is 8, another is 10. Both of them are fluent in English and Chinese.
I am a friendly, patient, and responsible Chinese tutor. I am also quite flexible about my teaching schedule. I believe I will be an excellent guide in your learning journey and hope I can help you achieve your goals.

I am experienced in teaching no matter adults or children. I have a lot of great tips to share with students and help them build the confidence of learning Chinese naturally. I will customize individual lesson plans based on the student’s level and needs. My teaching strategy is effective, easy to follow and will best facilitate students’ learning.
I specialize in teaching Chinese conversation, Chinese for kids, and HSK Chinese (1-6).
I’m familiar with eastern and western cultures. I believe it will ensure students receive a good understanding of differential culture idioms and accepted practice to help them learn Chinese.
I also have a standard accent and have acquired a high-level certificate of Putonghua Proficiency Test. I am good at teaching Pinyin for beginners and accent reduction for conversation practice.
