About Kirsty
I am a qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching in Year 4, as well as supporting pupils in Years 5 and 6 prior to qualifying.
This has given me a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and how children progress as they move towards SATs. I regularly support pupils in building the skills and confidence needed for these assessments in a clear and manageable way.
I particularly enjoy working with children who may feel unsure of themselves or lack confidence in their learning. From my experience in both classroom teaching and small group support, I have seen how much progress children can make when they are given the time, encouragement and individual attention they need.
Tutoring allows me to focus on each child’s specific needs, helping them to strengthen their understanding while building confidence at their own pace. I aim to create a calm, positive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to do their best.
My goal is not only to improve academic skills, but also to help each child develop a more positive and confident approach to learning.

I offer personalised 1:1 online tutoring for primary school children (KS1 & KS2) in English and Maths.
My lessons are designed to be calm, supportive and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I focus on building confidence first, as this is often the key to helping children make real progress.
Each session is structured to include a mix of guided practice, explanation and independent work, so children stay engaged while developing their skills step by step.
Lessons are interactive and adapted to suit your child’s pace and learning style. I aim to create a positive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to do their best.
I also provide brief feedback after sessions so parents can see how their child is progressing and what we are focusing on next.
