About Michael
Currently, I teach students classical violin grades through ABRSM and Trinity College Violin. My students come through with merits and distinctions! I am a professional traditional artist tutoring traditional fiddle (violin) groups on Saturdays at the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith. I have 10 years tutoring experience and I have been working as a primary/secondary school teacher for more than 15 years in London and Buckinghamshire.

I have been teaching beginners using the Eta Cohen Violin Method book for many years and have recently begun use of Suzuki and Mimi Zweig teaching methods. In terms of traditional music, I tend to focus on aural methods of learning (learning by ear). This method is often best used in classical music as well, once students become familiar with the sound of the music taught.
