About Nakita
I am passionate and driven by the idea that I can help others. My passion is helping people learn English so they can develop as individuals, improve their careers, and become more competitive thinkers at school or work. Coming from a background of tourism, marketing and design, I have a creative streak and an out-of-the-box approach. Each person has their own way of learning, weaknesses and strengths, keeping this in mind we will work together to build your confidence and before you know it you will be having English conversations. I have a great deal of patience and empathy that I share with my students while keeping them motivated especially through the tougher sections. In my spare time, I love spending time with my 3 dogs, hiking, baking and reading. I'm also a big dinosaur nerd :)

My teaching approach is based on what YOU want and your expectations.
Living in South Africa, we have 11 official languages. I have difficulty speaking and understanding Afrikaans (similar to German), which is one of the widely spoken languages here. So I understand how challenging it is to learn a new language, and that it can feel like a constant uphill climb.
I adopt a communicative approach and set clear, achievable goals for each lesson. All my classes are tailored to you and we progress at a pace you are comfortable with. Any new material will be presented and explained clearly. It will then be practised in a variety of different ways but making sure you are speaking the majority of the time.
I have a great sense of humour and make the lessons interactive, interesting, and informative while having fun. I believe if the student is having fun and seeing the results they will stay motivated and learn more effectively.
I would love to help you with:

• Understanding tone, mood and theme
• Develop your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
• Basic interview preparation

In online learning during these Covid situations, it was very difficult to catch up with the schedules of all the teachers. But my experience with Mrs. Nakita was different. She was always on time with a stable internet connection. She maintained a strict but friendly environment in the class and encouraged her students to participate actively in the discussion. Throughout all the discussion she was making sure that I understood the topic and learned everything quickly. Rather than becoming a bookworm, she asked her students to thoroughly comprehend the topic and describe it in their own words which makes it easier. I would highly recommend her!.
