About Macy
I am a motivated and dynamic individual. I am hard working and goal driven.
I compete as a Canoe Slalomist and am currently a member of U23 Team GB and previously U18 having competed at the World Championships and European Championships reaching semi-finals.
I also compete in the new discipline of Kayak Cross.
As a graduate from the University of Nottingham with a first class honours degree in Psychology, I have an excellent understanding of this field of study and am passionate about supporting the learning of others in this area.

I believe in a student centred teaching approach, fostering a deep understanding of psychological concepts but catering to the needs of each student.
I would start by assessing each student's strengths and weaknesses and tailor my lessons to suit.
I would encourage students to participate actively in the learning process, engaging in discussion, applying psychological theories to real life scenarios, enabling students to develop critical thinking skills.
I would break down psychological concepts in to smaller fragments that are easier to understand, before moving on to more advanced topics.
I would provide continuous feedback during the learning process which enables the learner to reflect, adapt and modify their learning.
I would aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable in their learning and are able to approach and communicate their needs.
As a graduate from the university of Nottingham in Psychology I would tutor up to A' Level. I have no qualifications as a tutor but have skills and knowledge that would equip me to work within this field.
A typical lesson length would be between 30 minutes to 1 hour.
