About Melissa
I am an experienced piano tutor with 16 years of teaching experience, guiding students from school, college, and working professional backgrounds. I believe that learning piano is more than just mastering techniques—it is about building confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for music.
My teaching methodology focuses on patience, clear communication, and tailored instruction for each student’s goals and abilities. I help students develop strong fundamentals including finger technique, rhythm, hand coordination, and sight-reading.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to develop a complete understanding of music. My lessons are interactive, creative, and engaging, often including songs, performance practice, and improvisation.
I specialize in simplifying complex concepts, helping students overcome challenges, and fostering consistency in practice. My ultimate aim is to create a positive, motivating, and supportive learning environment where students feel inspired, confident, and empowered to reach their musical potential.

My teaching methodology emphasizes confidence-building, creative, and adaptive learning. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, skill level, and preferred learning style, fostering a productive and engaging environment.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive methodology develops technical proficiency, expressive skills, and musical understanding. My aim is to help students become confident, creative, and lifelong musicians.
