About Colin
The instrument I am most passionate about is piano. I have specialised in the works of Debussy, Rachmaninov, Chopin and Bach and regularly accompany choirs and individual musicians as well as having an interest in the music of Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson. Having recently retired from class teaching I now want to give my time to developing this passion with other people as this now inspires me as much as my own enjoyment of the instrument.

Setting learning intentions for the lesson are my key priorities which are negotiated with the student at the beginning of every lesson with individual lessons and goals for the term. I aim to keep students motivated through presentation for Associated Board exams. For under 12 offer a half hour lesson and for older pupils a 1 hour slot. I have an MA in music and psychology in addition to my teaching qualifications.
