About Robert
After growing up morbidly obese, I went on to lose over 150 lbs through sustainable diet and exercise, transforming both my health and outlook. My personal journey led me to research cardiovascular health behaviours and public health misinformation, culminating in a PhD in behavioural psychology focused on real-world behaviour change. I now combine lived experience with scientific expertise to help clients achieve lasting, evidence-based weight loss.

I’m Dr. Robert Dickinson, a Personal Trainer and Postdoctoral Researcher with a PhD in behavioural psychology and public health. I specialise in sustainable, long-term weight loss for beginners and those intimidated by typical gym culture. Using evidence-based strategies, I help clients combine simple activity, hypertrophy weight training, and structured nutrition to accomplish their goals. I also specialise in bolstering GLP-1 medications (e.g. Ozempic). My approach focuses on habit-building, practical lifestyle changes, and personalised exercise and diet plans. Whether you want one comprehensive strategy session or guided training, I provide the tools, education, and support to achieve lasting results. Initial consultation ~2 hours.
