About Devshi
Hello, thank you for visiting my profile. I'm Devshi and I have been tutoring for the past 5 years. After attending 7 schools in 5 different countries, I have encountered a vast variety of teaching methods and learning styles. This allowed me to understand the best methods to teach students, continue learning at home, and form a genuine interest in your subjects. As I have recently completed Sixth Form, I understand the challenges that newly changed curricula pose to students, and how best to overcome these. Using these techniques myself, I have been able to achieve all 9s in my GCSEs, and I hope to be able to help other students to do the same. I have also had experience tutoring students from Year 2 to Year 12, so I can adjust my way of teaching to best engage with whoever I teach. I was also a medical applicant, and have been successful in gaining places to some of the top medical universities. I would be delighted to help other prospective medical students with their application process, from admissions tests to interviews. Furthermore, with the number of schools I have attended, I am very familiar with the admissions process from 11+ and 16+, aptitude tests, and interviews. So, I am well equipped in tackling both the admissions process and any nerves that come along with it. Next, considering your learning style and current schedule, we can form a plan for our next lessons, as well as any independent work to supplement your learning. Devshi has a very in depth knowledge about this subject and it is obvious in her teaching. This means that she can go into a lot of detail for all the topics, which is great for learning to answer 8 mark questions, one of the most difficult in a biology paper, or for explaining a concept you are not quite grasping through a different angle. She is great fun to be around but will keep you on track as she doesn’t get distracted.
