About Kingsley
I am an award winning journalist, poet and short story writer. I am obsessed with the short story and hold a special love for poetry especially as its how i met my wife. I love the mediums of poetry and prose through which the human experience can be reflected in a more condensed and often viscerally life affirming way.
I work as a Freelance Journalist and an English tutor and also teach English as a foreign language.

Beginning, middle and end! Short stories are thematic nuggets, mini novels wrapped in succinct and acute dense writing, rich with excitement, emotion and engagement. I take you on a journey of the short story and what it takes to write one, as well as what not to put into one.
We will look at texts from helpful books as part of an extensive reading list, that will help you weaponize all the skills you will be learning on the way, to give you the super charged confidence to write a stellar short story with ease and aplomb.
