About Anna

Spanish teaching has been a regular part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father's side of the family is from Querétaro, a state in central Mexico, and my mother is a Spanish teacher. I started out with helping my siblings learn Spanish as children and translating for my grandparents. Now in recent years I have had the opportunity to teach elementary age Spanish classes in my community, design my own curriculum, help tutor international students at my college, and translate for summer camps and at worship services with my local congregation. I would love the chance to use my experience to help you feel ready to use yours.

About the lesson

Teaching, tutoring, and translating over the years has taught me that while vocabulary and language basics are important, it is equally if not more important to learn how to use your knowledge. I offer easy-to-implement, creative options for integrating Spanish learning into your daily routine at any level. We can start with the basics or we can learn specific vocabulary and conversation tools for real life situations you may need to use your Spanish in. Bring your previous class experience, current curriculum, Duolingo skills, or just bring your best learning attitude. I'm ready to support you in your language learning journey!
