About James
I am a Second-Year Law Student at the University of Cape Town. I matriculated from SACS High School in 2020, having earned 5 distinctions (English, Afrikaans, History, Economics and Life Orientation). In addition to my NSC subjects, I also took an A Level in English Literature and earnt a B grade.
I have been tutoring since 2019 and have been able to help many of students make significant academic progress (with many improving by over 10% within a few terms). I believe that this ability comes from the fact that I aim to inspire a passion for the subject in my students and tailor my approach to suit each on of them. Attainable goals for each student are set and rewards are given when they are achieved.

I am a fluent English and Afrikaans speaker who incorporates games and quizzes into my lessons to make them enriching and enjoyable. I fully believe that each student is a diamond that just needs a little bit of polish and aim to inspire my students to reach their full potential. In a typical lesson, my students can expect to be exposed to fun and interactive techniques to help learn their chosen subject. The speed at which we progress is entirely dependent on the student's wishes. I am able to teach Grade 8 to Matric with ease and have been known to give prizes for good progress.
