I did Irish grinds with Shane for the past 3 months in the lead up to my Hibernia interview. Shane was so helpful and really knew his stuff about what was needed for the Hibernia Interview prep. I always found lessons very beneficial and tailored to me personally. Would highly recommend Shane to anyone of any age looking to learn Irish.

I did 1:1 french grinds with Shane throughout 6th year. Shane broke everything down and focused in on the oral , written and comprehensions separately. I got a H4 in the mocks and with a lot of help from Shane, I got a H1 in the leaving cert. Shane is kind, helpful and always responds to texts quickly. Shane also gave me some notes for my Irish leaving cert even thought I wasn’t doing grinds with him in this subject at the time. I would highly recommend Shane for any help for upcoming exams with both Irish and French.

Definitely a 10/10 in my opinion for french, very patient, amazing at helping with oral work and gives excellent notes. Couldnt have asked for a better tutor really.

Shane is by far the best person to get 1:1 grinds off, he has a serious desire for all his students to do well, he was always available on whattsapp for all questions and would always respond within seconds, he would go above and beyond for his students. Shane’s zooms calls were always very organised and efficient, he always delivered an excellent standard of Irish. I now feel comfortable having a conversation in irish without doubting myself. Shane gave me irish grinds for the hibernia but even went out of his way to make sure I was prepared for the English part of the interview, I passed the interview first time and thanks to Shane I can now pursue my hibernia career.

Shane provided French grinds to my son (1st year)who was finding French very difficult and falling behind in class . After the first lesson there was immediate improvement and we continued the lessons for a number of weeks until my son was confident and as capable as his peers and is now enjoying French. Shane provided notes for revision after all classes. I would happily recommend Shane as a tutor.

I did French grinds with Shane during sixth year. He helped me improve my oral French significantly, as well as grammar and written pieces. His notes were always very helpful and clear. He always adapted the lesson to focus on what I needed. He improved my French in all areas throughout the year.

Shane is an excellent tutor, I’ve wanted to learn Irish properly for ages. I can speak Irish almost fluently now. Shane breaks down the grammar rules in a very simple and understandable way, and gives meaningful work that will help develop language, speaking and listening skills in a time-efficient manner. I’ve learned ten times more than I did in my six years of secondary school Irish lessons and I can speak to someone in Irish now with little issue.

Shane’s been my Irish language tutor for almost one year, and he is simply outstanding. He is incredibly patient and thorough, and he has a true gift for teaching - and it’s so clear he loves his work. My son Eric started 1st year in September and after a difficult first term with french we started grinds with Shane in January. Eric's become more confident in the subject, Shane has great patience and Eric found his manner and teaching style very helpful.
