About Azeem
I'm Muhammad Azeem Ullah, a Senior Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience building backend systems in C#, .NET Core and Akka, deployed on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes.
Since 2020 I've built backend server features for large-scale mobile game projects, including Project Moonshine, a game inspired by the Mafia franchise. Before that I worked on mobile game servers in Node.js. Along the way I've load-tested servers for high traffic, built CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline), and integrated payment gateways such as Stripe and PayFast.
Game backends are an unforgiving environment: thousands of concurrent players, real-time state, traffic spikes at launch, and zero tolerance for lost purchases. The problems I solve every day are the same ones Big Tech interviews ask about: scalability, concurrency, distributed state, caching, data consistency, performance and reliability.
I know where strong candidates lose points: they jump into code before clarifying, they design without numbers, they can't defend a trade-off when pushed, or they go quiet when a follow-up gets hard. My sessions are demanding on purpose. I'll push back and ask "what happens when this fails?" the way a real interviewer would. Then you get structured, specific, honest feedback, not "looks good".
I hold a BS in Software Engineering from the University of the Punjab.

FAANG-Style Backend & System Design Mock Interview: 60 minutes, real pressure, real feedback.
Practice the interview before the interview. I run realistic, demanding simulations of Big Tech backend engineering interviews, based on 7+ years of building and scaling production game backends in C#, .NET Core and Akka on AWS.
WHAT WE COVER (tailored to your target role)
- Coding and problem-solving: data structures, algorithms, complexity, clean code under time pressure
- System design: requirements, capacity estimates, APIs, data modeling, scaling, failure modes
- Distributed systems: consistency, replication, partitioning, queues, idempotency, the actor model
- Databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching with Redis, API design (REST, gRPC)
- AWS/cloud architecture, Docker and Kubernetes
- Concurrency, performance and C#/.NET deep-dives (async/await, threading, memory)
A TYPICAL 60-MINUTE SESSION
- 0-3 min: quick intro, then straight into interview mode
- 3-23 min: coding problem with follow-ups that change the constraints
- 23-48 min: system design, where I push on bottlenecks and trade-offs like a real interviewer
- 48-55 min: rapid-fire backend questions on your weak areas
- 55-60 min: live debrief with your top strengths and top gaps
