About Paroma
I’m deeply passionate about both painting and teaching, and I find so much joy in sharing my love for art with others. Over the past 4 years, I’ve gained valuable teaching experience in English, and for the last 1.5 years, I’ve been teaching painting. I’ve worked with a range of students, helping them discover their artistic abilities and guiding them through the creative process. I believe in making learning enjoyable and accessible, whether it’s through structured lessons or encouraging students to experiment and find their own style. Currently, I’m studying at the University of Edinburgh, where I continue to grow both as an artist and an educator. My teaching approach is shaped by my own experiences as a student, and I understand how important it is to foster a supportive, engaging environment. It’s incredibly rewarding to help others unlock their potential, whether they’re just starting out or looking to refine their skills. For me, teaching painting isn’t just about techniques—it’s about sparking creativity and building confidence in every student.

When I teach painting, I focus on blending technique with creativity, tailoring each lesson to the needs and interests of my students. My teaching methodology is hands-on and adaptable—I demonstrate techniques step-by-step, from basic brush control and colour mixing to advanced textures, layering, and composition. Lessons are typically 1 to 2 hours long, providing enough time for learning, practising, and exploring new ideas without feeling rushed. With a senior diploma in fine arts and 18 years of experience in the world of art, I bring both expertise and a deep passion for creativity to my teaching. Over the years, I’ve developed an approachable and encouraging style that helps students feel comfortable experimenting and embracing their unique artistic voices. My lessons are open to all—whether you’re a complete beginner, a hobbyist wanting to improve, or someone with experience eager to try new techniques. I welcome students of all ages and skill levels, adjusting my approach to match individual goals. My aim is to create a supportive, inspiring environment where students can gain confidence, explore their creativity, and develop their own artistic style.
