About Ykisha Kate Cassandra
I’m a dedicated Senior High School student with advanced English skills and a genuine passion for helping young learners grow. I aspire to work as a student tutor not just because I love teaching, but because I want to contribute to our family expenses and help lighten the load for my loved ones — I believe in earning my own way while doing something meaningful. I understand exactly what it’s like to learn and feel unsure, so I keep lessons gentle, fun, and easy to follow. I’m patient, encouraging, and committed to helping you build strong reading, writing, and speaking confidence without ever feeling pressured or scared to make mistakes. My goal isn’t just to help you improve your grades — it’s to help you feel proud and happy using English, all while working toward a better future for both of us.

35–50 mins: Independent Application. You try on your own — writing a paragraph, speaking on a topic, editing sentences; I give focused, kind feedback
50–55 mins: Review & Key Takeaways. Recap main rule/skill; clarify remaining confusion; highlight exactly what you did great
55–60 mins: Next Steps & Small Assignment. Light homework (15–20 mins max); confirm next lesson topic
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
I’m your peer, not a distant teacher — I just went through these lessons myself, so I know exactly what student English requires, the kinds of questions that come up in exams, and the places where students actually struggle. With a strong, proven foundation in the language and advanced proficiency, I can model clear, excellent expression while still meeting you right where you are. Most importantly, this is a no-intimidation zone: mistakes are simply how we learn, and I’ll never make you feel silly or rushed — I’ll keep explaining until things truly click, not just move on to check a box. I balance academic and practical needs too: I’ll help you ace your quizzes and master your assignments, while also building the writing, speaking, and communication skills you’ll use well beyond the classroom. And I keep everything flexible and relatable, tailoring examples to your interests, and making sure our sessions feel engaging, not like boring textbook reading.
Who the Lessons Are For
These lessons are designed especially for elementary students at every stage of your English journey — from Grades 1 through 6 — whether you’re just starting to build your basics, looking to strengthen your reading and writing, or aiming to feel more confident speaking and participating in class. I’ll guide you through all the key areas you work on in school: simple grammar and sentence structure, building your vocabulary, understanding stories and what you read, writing clear sentences and short paragraphs, and practicing speaking so you can share your ideas easily. The lessons fit exactly what you need for your level and your school’s lessons, and they’re perfect if you want to keep up with classwork, get ready for quizzes and exams, feel less nervous about reciting or presenting, or simply grow more comfortable and happy using English every day.
