**My Teaching Approach: Making Accounting Simple & Engaging** # **1. Teaching Techniques & Methods** I believe accounting should be **clear, practical, and enjoyable**—not intimidating. My approach includes: **Conceptual Clarity** – Breaking down complex topics (like journal entries, financial statements, or GST) into simple, relatable examples. **Real-World Applications** – Connecting theory to real-life business scenarios so students understand *why* accounting matters. **Interactive Learning** – Using quizzes, case studies, and problem-solving exercises to keep students engaged. **Visual & Practical Aids** – Diagrams, flowcharts, and spreadsheet demos to reinforce learning. **Step-by-Step Problem Solving** – Guiding students through exercises methodically to build confidence. # **2. Structure of a Class** A typical session follows this flow: **Quick Recap (5-10 min)** – Brief review of previous topics. **Concept Introduction (15-20 min)** – Clear explanation with examples. **Interactive Practice (20-25 min)** – Solving problems together (e.g., ledger posting, ratio analysis). **Q&A & Doubt Clearing (10-15 min)** – Addressing any confusion instantly. **Takeaway Assignment (Optional)** – Short exercises for self-practice. **3. Special Features as a Teacher** **Adaptable Pace** – Adjusting speed based on student’s understanding. **Exam & Career Focus** – Helping with board exams, college tests, or ACCA foundation prep. **Encouraging Mindset** – Making mistakes part of the learning process. **Digital-Friendly** – Using screen-sharing, PDF notes, and Excel for virtual classes 4. Who Should Join?** **School Students (8th–B.Com 1st years)– Building strong accounting basics for all students.
