About Griffin
I am an award-winning Musical Director with over a decade of experience across three continents. Today, I focus on development of new theatre and my own teaching practice, both privately and at leading drama schools across the UK. I currently lecture in singing at ArtsEd and have taught at Emil Dale, Goldsmiths, GSA, ICMT, Associated Studios, MPAA, and others.
Many of my students have been offered places at drama schools and have gone one to professional West End careers.
I have an MA in Musical Direction from Mountview, PgDip in Acting from the Bridge TTC, BA in Music and Linguistics from the University of Auckland, ATCL in Singing, and Estill Figure Proficiency (currently studying for Estill Master Trainer).
I or my productions have won NAPTA and ACTT awards in New Zealand, London Pub Theatre awards, and I have a Ronald H. Filler Award for Jewish Studies.
I also produce shows and theatre festivals and have recently won my first award at Edinburgh Fringe.

Duration: 1 hour - Price: £60.00 - Place: West London music studio
I teach voice to students of all levels, from beginners discovering their sound to West End professionals.
For long-term lessons focusing on technique, we will learn vocal anatomy, practical skills, and develop a keen ear to continue growing your vocal skills outside of lessons.
For short-term vocal coaching and top up sessions, we will use our time to troubleshoot any problem areas, refresh our technique and style, and delve into the world of acting-through-song.
I also provide piano and organ lessons to beginner/intermediate students and use the TRINITY syllabus if you want to do graded exams.
With a practice influenced by Bel Canto, Estill Voice Training, Meisner, and modern Broadway, I can help you unlock your long-term voice goals or perform your authentic best in an upcoming audition.
I trained in music at the University of Auckland, with a Masters Degree from Mountview. I have a diploma from TRINITY, a PgDip in Acting, and further training in Estill Voice. I am a singing lecturer at several leading drama schools, with many of my students going on to professional West End careers.

Usual lessons are 1 hour in length. This can be adjusted depending on the circumstances. I do run some occasional discounts for drama school students and those in financial need. Get in touch for more info.
