About Akchaya
I am a Sixth form student, passing GCSE triple science, English and maths above grade 8. I have experience doing private tutoring for students transitioning from year 6 to year 7, and even students younger than that. Currently I am taking Maths, Biology and Chemistry, and so I have extra knowledge about said subjects and am very passionate about them.

I approach the subject(s) by splitting them into topics. This way, it is easier to focus on one thing at a time and to make sure my students do not get overwhelmed by the content. My teaching method is integrated. I love using a mixture of techniques such as: problem-based learning and some independent learning. Academic subjects for younger students cannot be fully independent as the processes can get very confusing. That is why, I firmly concentrate on my interaction with the students and frequently like to consolidate their work. I am very friendly and patient, and always love helping students with their queries. One of the most important thing I showcase, is my passion for the subject. I believe passion will enable them to be interested in some topics and I love to urge my students to ask for extra knowledge (not just the specification). This quality will help them very much in the future, as interviewers love the passion applicants show.
