About Kristen Emma
I am a student currently studying a BSocSc majoring in Politics and Economics and an LLB at UCT. I have been tutoring for about 2 years now. In high school, I was a peer tutor where I tutored both Maths and Afrikaans. Afrikaans was my strongest subject in high school, so I am comfortable enough to ensure that I will be a good choice with regards to being an Afrikaans tutor.
I also attended school briefly and occasionally reside in Bredasdorp, a small town in the Overberg that is predominantly Afrikaans. And so I not only know Afrikaans from an academic perspective but I am also great with conversational Afrikaans.

My teaching method is heavily based on the child's individual needs. I have experience with kinaesthetic, visual and audio learning. I have tutored a number of children with learning disabilities so my background and knowledge on tutoring is extensive. My aim is not only for the child to increase their marks but for tolerance and deep understanding for the subject to bloom.

Details
If a student cancels at least 48hrs before the scheduled lesson a "makeup lesson" will be arranged. However, if the cancellation occurs within 48hrs before the lesson the student will, therefore, forfeit the lesson and the lesson fee will still be charged.
I charge a fee of R50 for travel if the location is outside of a 5km radius of where I am situated.
