About Aaliyah
I am a Sociology graduate specialising in how music impacts the formation of community.
Aside from academia, I am a poet and artist. I love oil painting and portraiture. I am currently learning intermediate French as I have a love of languages and travel.
When I lesson plan, I like to reflect on my favourite experiences of learning at school, these being the less regimented and more adaptable teaching methods. My belief is that once you can make a child feel enthusiastic towards education, they are unstoppable!

I work alongside the child's curriculum and provide my own additional resources to supplement their learning.
I employ techniques which aim to engage pupils and make learning an enjoyable experience. I cater to visual learners and like to incorporate interactive activities to stimulate knowledge.
I have a background in Humanities and Social Sciences. My main subject of study is Sociology up to A-level. I am qualified to teach pupils from KS2 in English and Maths, KS3 in English, Geography, Media and Social Sciences.
Lessons are 1.5hrs (1hr remote sessions available) flexible with breaks to enhance focus.
Lessons can be shared between 2-3 pupils charged individually at discounted rates.
Remote access is fully flexible but in-person lessons are available in East London and Essex.
