About Evander
I am an experienced singing tutor with over 6 years of teaching students across schools, colleges, and professional environments. I specialise in helping students discover their unique voice, strengthen their technical abilities, and gain confidence on stage. My lessons are designed to make learning singing both effective and enjoyable.
My teaching approach is interactive, practical, and student-focused. I cover essential vocal techniques such as breath control, pitch accuracy, tonal quality, and vocal projection. I also teach music theory, rhythm, and sight-reading, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of music. Performance skills, including stage presence, expression, and interpretation, are emphasised to help students communicate emotion effectively through their singing.
I tailor lessons to suit the individual goals and abilities of each student. Beginners receive patient guidance to build solid foundations, while advanced students are challenged to refine skills, prepare for performances, and overcome obstacles such as stage anxiety or difficulty with complex techniques. I also encourage consistent practice and provide regular feedback to ensure measurable progress.
I aim to create a positive and motivating environment where students feel inspired to explore their voice and enjoy learning music. My ultimate goal is to help students achieve technical proficiency, artistic expression, and confidence in their singing abilities.

My teaching methodology for Singing is practical, encouraging, and focused on real improvement. I believe students learn best when singing techniques are connected to everyday life, so I use real-life examples and case studies from songs, performances, and daily voice use to explain breathing, pitch control, tone quality, and expression. I teach with empathy and patience, understanding that many students feel shy or lack confidence, and I create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable learning.
My approach is flexible, allowing lessons and practice routines to be adjusted according to individual vocal ability, learning speed, and goals. Clear communication helps students understand techniques easily, and I give regular feedback with simple explanations. Using a problem-solving approach, I help students identify vocal challenges and overcome them step by step. Along with Singing, I also teach relevant subjects such as basic music theory, rhythm training, ear training, vocal care, and performance skills.
