About Rémy
Passionate about cars and mechanics, I always liked to format my ideas and concepts through the use of CAD software. Using such tools today makes it possible to obtain concrete and easily parameterizable representations of a product that one wishes to develop. Mastering them is therefore essential especially in an industrial context where the requirements are all the more important than those that could be found in a purely academic project. After I joined ESTACA in Laval in first year following a BAC S specialty mathematics (mention very good, 17.5 average), I began to train on the software SolidWorks through various courses, TP and proposed projects. However, it was really only during a first 2-month corporate experience as a draftsman that I really went a long way in using SolidWorks. This gave me a much more concrete view of this business because I had to take into account cost constraints, manufacturing processes and security but also learn to use SolidWorks differently. Following this first experience, I decided to go to HAW Hamburg University for a six-month study semester where I had the opportunity to take part in two car projects. My role was that of CAD-Manager and I was able to use my knowledge in a multicultural environment allowing me to be comfortable with these tools in both French and English.

This course is intended for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced profiles. Whether you're just curious or about to graduate, this course is a learning medium that allows you to progress and learn more about SolidWorks software. After a first free session where I get to know you, to identify your desires and difficulties through exercises of manipulation of the software, I then direct the sessions on concrete examples of application related to your field of study in wherever possible. The courses I offer are divided into three main parts: - Beginner level - _ familiarization with the software and interface, setting SolidWorks; _ sketch tab: usual entities, quotation, offset, conversion; _ functions tab: boss, material removal, fillets and chamfers, holes; _ allocation of materials: choice, creation of personalized materials, mass ownership; _ assembly: inserting components, creating standard constraints, reference geometry; _ drawing: drawing views, customization of the cartridge. - Intermediate level - _ sheet metal tab: folded sheet on edge, closed corner, folding zone, unfolded; _ welded constructions tab: creation of a profile, gussets, creation / modification of a part in welded constructions, 3D sketch; _ drawing: fold lines, manufacturing processes, materials; _ creation of configurations, exploded. - Advanced level - This level does not have a defined frame but is rather an opening. Here we can for example deal with the use of SolidWorks as part of a mechanical study by associating it with other software like ANSYS Mechanical or make a group project with other students of the formation in order to learn to work in community. This is a free section where your suggestions, desires and ideas are welcome! These courses can be both in French or in English, the idea being to become familiar with the software in a different language for a more international use.

Perfect! Rémy a aidé ma fille en 1ère année d’ école d’ingénieur pour un travail à rendre à l’aide du logiciel CATIA. Il a été super réactif malgré ses partiels et a été très efficace dans ses conseils. Nous le recommandons sans hésiter !

Rémy est très à l'écoute et sait rapidement cerner les difficultés que l'on rencontre. Il m'a accompagné lors d'un projet en groupe sous SolidWorks où nous étions plusieurs à débuter et a réussi à nous faire progresser en très peu de temps! Il est aussi très patient et apporte toujours de bons conseils, je recommande!
Rémy est une personne très motivée et sérieuse dans son travail. Très pédagogue, il a une volonté de faire progresser les élèves au maximum et de faire en sorte que la formation leur soit utile.
