About Sonia
I am from México City, México. I have a bachelor degree in Computer Science from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and worked in IT for several years. I have a diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (UNAM).
I lived in Los Angeles for 15 years and now I live in Oregon. I have been teaching Spanish for over 4 years.

I think that the ideal class is the one that is capable of adapting for the benefit of the student. I focus on the age, personality, level and motivation of the student. Depending on the level of the student, I like to play games such as pencil-and-paper games, board games and online games. I also tend to use songs, flash cards, crafts, etc. to keep the interest alive. For intermediate and advanced students, and depending on the ultimate goal, I use a more conversational approach focusing on grammar, pronunciation and reading comprehension.
