About John
Since graduating from the University of Central Arkansas in 2014 with bachelor’s degrees in English and Traditional Spanish, I have devoted my career to improving the lives of others through education. I have 10 years experience in this field as a student mentor, classroom teacher, and 1:1 online tutor. I have offered private online tutoring since 2020 for a total of over 3500 hours. In addition to my experience in the classroom, I have visited and resided in three countries in Latin America: Costa Rica, Colombia, and Ecuador. I have spent a total of 6 years abroad, so I have an invaluable real-world perspective to share with my students.

My Spanish lessons are designed to teach essential vocabulary and grammar rules that we need to be successful at comprehension and conversation. After students demonstrate knowledge of our target areas, we complete reading and listening activities to see the concepts in practice. Then, we apply these skills with speaking and writing activities. I use a textbook as our guide and employ additional resources to supplement our learning. My lessons are specifically geared toward adolescents and adults.
