I have extensive background in special education. I have worked with preschool through 8th grade students in a variety of capacities in Philadelphia, upstate NY, and NYC.
I love facilitating my students’ academic growth. I enjoy working with students to expand their writing skills, from spelling, grammar, citing textual evidence and explaining quotes in their own words. This work can be tedious for some students and I have the skills to help them with this process. For students with autism, making inferences and “reading between the lines” is often quite difficult. I enjoy working on this important skill, witnessing first hand, my students’ level of independence and confidence grow!
