• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  English didn't come to me through a textbook. It came through people. My friends would slip into English mid-conversation, and I'd find myself just catching it — the way you catch a song stuck in someone else's head. It never felt like learning. It felt like belonging. And that feeling never really left me.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  The teacher who changed things for me didn't just teach English—she showed me what a teacher could actually do to a person's life. The way she carried herself and made her students feel capable left a lasting impression on me. I still carry her influence into every class I teach, hoping to pass even a fraction of that forward.

• How does your work help society?

  I genuinely believe that the ability to communicate well is one of the most underrated life skills. It shapes how people are perceived, how they perform, and how far they go. When I teach English, I'm not just building vocabulary or correcting grammar, I'm helping someone find their voice and express themselves with confidence. And that, to me, is meaningful work.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  David Attenborough is someone I deeply admire—not for what he knows, but for how he communicates it. His clarity, pace, and ability to make something vast feel intimate inspire me to become a better communicator and teacher.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  When I'm not teaching, I'm usually reading, watching a good web series, or exploring topics related to technology, history, and geopolitics. I believe that the more you understand the world, the better you can connect with the people in it.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  The moment I knew I was meant to teach came unexpectedly through a friend. He admired the way I spoke but struggled with confidence himself. We started practising together casually, with no pressure, just conversations. Within a few weeks, his hesitation faded, and he began speaking confidently without fear. Watching that transformation made everything click for me. Teaching wasn't just something I could do; it was something I genuinely wanted to do.
