About David
I am a Student at the University of Dundee doing Biomedical Sciences. My hobbies are fencing, reading books of all kinds and watching matches of my favourite football team Wolverhampton Wanderers. I want to teach because having been and currently still a student I believe I can provide what the student is looking for from the teacher in terms of teaching style and assignments given.

I like to break down a lesson into three parts. First 15-20 minutes is breaking down the topic and identifying and understanding key concepts. For example, with mitosis we would look at each stage of the process and discuss what happens and how to recognize what would be going on under the microscope. Then we will work through a couple of questions based on the topic.
Next half an hour will be spent with the student working through set questions of increasing difficulty independently while I will be on standby to provide guidance when the student is stuck
Final 15-30 minutes will be spent reviewing answers and a summary of the topic. Depending on the student's confidence on the topic, the next session will start of with a new topic or 10-15 minutes will be spent reviewing the last lesson.
I have not tutored professionally but have worked with younger family members and friends in Maths and Biology at the GCSE level. My lessons for students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
