About Showan
Tanbur is an ancient and sacred instrument traditionally taught by ear and which has its benefits and limitations , master Ali akbar moradi has transcribed tanbour to notation in his book Sat Dars .
In out lessons we will learn a combination of both methods, which will give the student a deep understanding of Tanbur Maqams and rhythms

Many years of playing , performing and teaching Tanbour , have travelled to Iran and Kurdistan to study Tanbour and have studied under the great master Ali akbar moradi. Can teach both maqam music and improvisation . lessons are focused on building good fundamentals
