About Vivian
Hello! My name is Gracie, and I recently graduated from TCU with a degree in Youth Advocacy & Educational Studies and Art History with a minor in Spanish and coursework specializations in religion and criminal justice.
I have been studying Spanish since early on in my educational career and fully achieved fluency after my freshman year of college when I spent the summer living and working in Medellín, Colombia.
I have spent much time abroad in Spanish speaking countries which has given me a well rounded understanding of culture and different speaking dialects. I have spent time teaching numerous subjects from English to art to Spanish and have a wide range of experience working with children of all ages.
I strive to make learning fun and am passionate about the Spanish language, and as such, strive to bring this into my teaching philosophy. My journey as a language educator began with my own love for the Spanish language and culture, and I’m excited to share that passion with you! I believe that learning a new language should be an engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding experience and as such my teaching philosophy centers around creating a personalized and interactive learning environment where you will feel comfortable and motivated to learn. I adapt my teaching methods to fit your unique learning style and goals, ensuring that you make steady progress and enjoy the process!

¡Hola! Me llamo Gracie, su futuro tutor personal de español. Whether you are starting from scratch and hoping to pick up some basic conversational skills for an upcoming trip abroad, need help prepping for an upcoming exam, or simply wish to refine your speaking skills, my hope is to help you, or your child, achieve your language goals!
I work with all ages, from elementary aged children to high schoolers and beyond.
My approach focuses on personalization and interactivity designed to make learning a new language fun and engaging. Therefore, I use a variety of techniques tailored to your learning style and objectives:
- I firmly believe that your language is founded in your speaking abilities, and we will emphasize speaking practice to improve your fluency and confidence.
- I use videos, articles, and music in Spanish to immerse you in the language and culture.
- We will also engage in practical exercises to master the structure of the language and enhance your vocabulary.
Each lesson will be tailored to your goals and to ensure this is effective, we will begin with an assessment of your current level of knowledge and comfortability with the language and from there we will set expectations and goals.
I share my knowledge with enthusiasm and dedication. Each session is designed to be interactive and practical, helping you use Spanish in real-life situations. I am committed to your success and here to support you at every stage of your learning journey.
