About Praew
I grew up in Bangkok and until the age of 18 I called Thailand my home. In 2023 I took a leap of faith to convert my BTEC into a BA in the UK. Having recently completed my Postgrad and waiting for my UK teacher training to start in September 2026 I can say it's massively paid off. Now I want to share with you a language that I adore speaking.

Welcome, I'm Praew, Poppy, Peanut or PP. As a Thai, nicknames are part of our national identity so you'll have no excuse to forget one of my many names!
With experience teaching students ranging from 4 to 18yrs and from beginners right through to advanced I'm confident you'll fit right in and I can help you. My lessons are highly conversational, with plenty of role-play dialogue between me and you. This will not only build up your confidence speaking, but also your ear for the nuanced pronunciation Thai is renowned for. There is minimal time for going over lists of vocabulary, that's your homework that I'll set! Why?
1. You're paying to understand Thai, my value is not going through the colours in Thai but rather making sure you can use this new vocabulary in common conversations.
2. With a long-term partner who's English, I've seen first hand that the textbook approach can only take you so far. It was on a recent Bangkok trip that the sudden acceleration in learning occurred. Flying 6000 miles is expensive, but simulating the learning environment isn't.
Why choose me?
1. I don't follow a set curriculum. After our trial session I offer a free consultation to delve into your desired learning outcomes, so no matter what you aim to achieve I'll help make it happen.
2. I have a BA and MSc from top UK Universities and IELTS C1, so am more than confident in English. You'll have no problem following the session and maximising your learning.
3. I have been lucky enough to share my passions to packed lecture halls at Bath University right through to mentoring students 1-on-1.
4. I release lesson plans in advance alongside homework, so there'll be no surprises

Perfect! Praew had extensive knowledge on how to approach tones, cultural and modern methods of approaching sentence structures.
Perfect! Praew is an excellent teacher. Her lessons are detailed and give maximum opportunity for practicing speaking and building up vocabulary. Definitely recommend her lessons for anyone looking to learn Thai!
Perfect! Praew is a natural teacher, supportive and very easy to understand. Thank you!
- Richard has a good foundation in Thai and is able to communicate in the language. However, he lacks adjectives and vocabulary in specific areas. I see strong potential in him that he can improve through regular practice, mainly focusing on speaking and reading. This will help sharpen his language skills.Praew's response :

Praew has to be one of the most supportive people I know. Through studying my Masters at the University of Bath she helped me countless times with coursework, and I couldn't be more grateful. The first thing you'll soon realise is that she's is super easy to talk to. She's endlessly chatty and kind. When it comes to teaching she has a unique ability in breaking down problems, so I have complete faith that you'll gain confidence in Thai in no time at all.
I've known Praew for close to 2 years, and I hope there's many more years to come!
She is a thoughtful, detail-orientated and organised individual. Despite having a past filled with struggles to learn languages, through her guidance I've become confident ordering at restaurants, holding casual conversations and have been inspired to keep pursuing more knowledge.
Praew is persistent, if you're struggling she has countless different ways to work it through and ensure you cement the learning. That's what makes her stand out, I kept forgetting vocab with other tutors but Praew ensures you can fully utilise your knew knowledge in multiple contexts before moving on. Thai was daunting at first, but that's no longer the case.View more recommendations
