About George
Hi, I'm George! I am currently in my 3rd year studying traditional music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, specialising in Button Accordion and Bodhran.
I grew up on the welsh border where I was surrounded by folk music from an early age, but soon fell in love with the traditional music of the other Celtic nations (Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Man), and so made the move up to Glasgow in 2022 to pursue a career as a musician.
Teaching others is important to me for keeping traditions alive, but it's also important that it's fun! Because what's the point in learning an instrument if you don't enjoy it?!

I believe in helping the student to achieve what they want to achieve, and so every lesson is tailored to suit each student individually, and based on the material and techniques they wish to learn.
I offer lessons both online and in-person in and around Glasgow. Online lessons will always be backed up with videos to go over what was covered in the previous lesson, to help the student to practice in their own time.
