About Carina
Having studied English Language and Literature, achieving a grade 9 and predicted A*, I am dedicated to a continual learning journey understanding different students learn in different ways. Being Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion has exposed me to so many diverse individuals allowing me to adapt my language and knowledge to teach. Having previous experience working in 11+ tuition and mentoring GCSE students, I have developed simplifying concepts to ensure thorough understanding.

I am a dedicated tutor aimed at results-driven progress, providing resources and any extra help that may be needed. I have previous experience mentoring GCSE students to help them achieve Grade 9s alongside 11+ entrance exams. I offer tutoring for 11+ (maths and English) and Year 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 (English language and literature, biology, chemistry) alongside personal statement help for any profession. My lessons consist of an initial introduction, understanding your aims and goals - then setting up a way to achieve this through resources I can provide and understanding how the student learns best. A typical lesson lasts around an hour, but I would be happy to do longer if needed.
