About Sabine
German and European Native. I grew up learning foreign languages, and I loved it! There were many trips and high familiarity with Spain and France. I was always fascinated by other cultures and languages! I took my love for foreign languages to College and Grad School and beyond! After my MA in Romance Languages, we moved to the US, and have spent the next 35 years with languages and psychology and raising our children. I have worked as English to German translator and was accredited by the ATA as well as gaining a NYU translation certificate. I have taught and tutored the above languages, mostly individuals. I also taught Spanish in New Jersey in Junior High and High School with a preliminary certificate, before moving back to my husband's native Louisiana 19 years ago.

I teach ESL as taught by tefl.org.uk. Other languages are taught in a similar way. Classes are tailored to student's levels, interests, and purposes. Initial session will be an assessment of these factors. A typical class begins with introduction of material, getting the student involved. Then we learn together, practice together, have the student practice by her/himself and finish with feedback and joint activity using learnt material. For most students, the goal is to learn or improve speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills in the target language. I believe in the importance of pronunciation and of grammar.
