About Jade
Hey! I'm Jade, an undergraduate from Dalhousie University with a 120-hour advanced TESOL certified English tutor. I have several years of experience working with children in educational, recreational, and inclusive settings. I genuinely enjoy helping children feel more confident and comfortable in their abilities. I believe that learning is most effective this way, and when they feel supported, and feel that they can ask questions. I am patient and positive, which I bring to my teaching techniques.

My teaching approach is personalized to each individual, including their level, learning style, and goals.
A typical lesson plan would include warm-up activities, focused instruction (vocabulary, grammar, reading, comprehension, writing, and oral expression). The skills are applied to real-life conversations or activities, and we will review what we have learned, and what we can work on!
As a tutor, I bring a combination of a Bachelor's degree in psychology, a 120-hour advanced TESOL certification, and several years of experience working with children, including those with diverse learning and communication needs.
My lessons are primarily designed for children and teens, beginner to intermediate English learners, ESL students, who are looking for additional support with English, reading, writing, vocabulary, conversation, or oral expression!
