Sara earned an undergraduate degree in music and theatre from The University of South Carolina and a Master of Music from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. In addition to singing in choirs, operas, and musicals, she enjoys playing keys, particularly in a pop/rock style.

As someone who learned piano later in life, Sara understands the challenges of starting a new instrument. She combines music literacy and music theory with the technical side of learning piano. She helps students not only with traditional/classical piano, but she also teaches them to play chords and read from a lead sheet.
