About James
Experience
Teacher of Piano, Voice and Song Writing. I have been playing the piano for 70 years; Both Classical and Jazz:; Writing songs and lyrics since I’m eleven years old.
Education
I studied composition with Vincent Persichetti and Joseph Castaldo. Classical piano with Clement Pertrillo for ten years and Jazz with Dennis Sandoli on the east coast. On the west coast I studied orchestration with Albert Harris and conducting with Frederich Zweig.

Every student is unique and there is not one method to guide the variety of students one teaches. Of course there are the fundamentals which are extremely important in the exercise of music.
