Hello there! I'm Tony Wang, a passionate third-year Computer Science major at the University of British Columbia. Throughout my academic journey, I've maintained an outstanding GPA of 3.85+, building upon a foundation of excellence that began in high school, where I was honored with "honor roll with distinction" and garnered multiple awards in math contests. Beyond my personal achievements, I find great joy in sharing my knowledge and helping others succeed. I have a proven track record of assisting high school students in improving their math skills through tailored sessions that address each student's unique needs. In addition, my teaching repertoire spans AP Computer Science A, web development, robotics, Mandarin, and proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python. Here's a typical lesson plan:
1. warm-up and review materials from past sessions/homework checking
2. answer and explain students' questions from math class at school
3. guiding students to solve challenging questions in the homework and understand key concepts, then providing similar questions to test understanding
4. preview for school work depending on individual needs
There will also be specialized quizzes based on chapters/topics
