About Harriet
I have been giving informal lessons since I was completing my AS Levels, tutoring both my younger sibling (who was then studying GCSEs) and a few friends who were having issues with various homework assignments. When we were applying for Universities, I also read a few Personal Statements in order to check that all grammar and punctuation was correct. All the students that I helped received grades between A and C.

I give lessons to secondary school-aged students, primarily those studying their GCSEs, AS Levels and A Levels. I would also be more than happy to read Personal Statements and / or CVs and Cover Letters from similarly-aged students, and then give detailed feedback on the work.
The lesson structure will vary depending on who I am teaching, but will primarily focus on a study of themes and characters throughout all of the chosen texts. I will also focus, closer to the exam period, on tips to make revising easier, as well as clear ways in which to order the notes to make essay-writing as easy as possible.
I am very organised, and will make sure to focus on different, though clearly related, topics every lesson in order to maximise learning potential.
