About ALICE
My name is Alice, and I am a Biochemistry student with a genuine passion for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I have always enjoyed learning how things work, but what I enjoy most is helping other people understand topics that once felt confusing or intimidating. Science can be challenging, and I remember how overwhelming it can feel when concepts don’t immediately make sense, this is a big part of why I enjoy teaching.
I take a calm, patient and supportive approach to tutoring. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are not afraid of getting things wrong. I focus on explaining ideas clearly, breaking topics down into manageable steps, and adapting my teaching style to suit each student. My aim is to help students feel more confident in their abilities, not just to memorise information for exams.
As a current student, I am familiar with the pressures of GCSE and A-Level study, including exam stress and time management. This allows me to offer practical advice alongside subject teaching, helping students develop effective revision techniques and a more positive mindset towards science. I am organised, reliable and committed to providing well-prepared, focused lessons.
I chose to tutor because I find it genuinely rewarding to see students progress, whether that is understanding a difficult topic for the first time or gaining confidence in their exam technique. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged, motivated and capable of achieving their goals.

My name is Alice, and my tutoring approach is student-centred, structured, and tailored to each individual’s learning style. Each lesson is planned in advance and may include a mix of explanation, worked examples, exam-style questions, and recap of key topics. I also provide guidance on revision techniques, exam strategy, and how to approach difficult questions effectively.
I am a Biochemistry student with a strong academic background in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and I have experience supporting students at GCSE and A-Level. My subject knowledge allows me to explain content clearly while linking topics together in a way that makes sense, particularly for students aiming for strong exam results or further study in science or healthcare.
My lessons are suitable for secondary school and sixth-form students, typically aged 14–18, who want to improve their understanding, build confidence, or achieve higher grades. I am patient, approachable, and supportive, and I aim to create a calm environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.
