James began tutoring my son, Harry, guitar when he was in year 4 (8yrs old) and has helped him become an excellent guitar player. Even during covid he adapted the lessons providing them online instead.
James is very a supportive, inspiring and great at challenging Harry to continue to improve. Harry is currently waiting for his grade 6 results and now in year 11 (15yrs old), and we will continue the lessons for as long as he'll provide them! I have no hesitation in recommending James, he's an amazing musician and has motivated Harry to continue to keep developing and importantly enjoying and having fun whilst he learns. Do not hesitate to chose James if you're looking for a guitar tutor!

James is an amazing guitar teacher. He has always offered a great balance for our son, teaching a variety of fun pieces tapping into his interests alongside graded pieces and theory. His positive encouragement and exceptional patience have led to our son making great progress. We are both teachers locally and having seen what James offered in the schools we teach in, we knew instantly he was the right teacher for our son. We highly recommend James to anyone wanting to learn guitar.
