In the first lesson I like to find out a little bit more about you. This would involve a conversation to find about what learning methods work for you, what your goals are and what is your current level of knowledge.
The way that we will structure the tutoring will depend on what works for you. Although I like to have a structure and a timetable with clear goals and milestones that we want to reach, how we get there will depend on the student as I like to tailor my approach to ensure that the students learn, and understand what it is they are doing, why they are doing it, and how to apply that knowledge.
During the lessons I generally like to cover the key points and cases on the topic and then go on to look at case studies and exam-focused questions.
I will try my best to support you both academically and mentally. I can offer you advice on matters such as dealing with nerves, concerns, exam worries, revision techniques as well as career advice and both CV and application review and amendment.
Areas I can cover:
- Contract Law
- Intellectual Property Law
- Company Law
- Commercial Law
- International Criminal Law
- International Trade Law
- Public International Law
- Law of Armed Conflict
- Property Law
- Business Law
- Advocacy
- Mooting
- Legal Skills (drafting, writing, research)
- Dissertation / Research Project (Undergraduate and Masters)
Please note that although we will cover practice questions as part of the tutoring which we will review together, I am unable to write any coursework or dissertation/research projects on your behalf.
